California dreamin’ on such a winter’s day!
In March, I escaped the cold British winter for some Cali sunshine. What better time is there to go holiday than when it’s cold and rainy (well except maybe when it’s snowing)?!
I only spent one full day in Venice beach but I made the most of it!
Venice beach is just so beautiful! If you are ever in LA, then it is a must see.
I made like a local LA’r and went to yoga (at the yoga Collective) and Cafe Gratitude. Cafe Gratitude is an organic, plant based cafe. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and amazing. Their I am EXTRAORDINARY (BLT wrap) was so good. The coconut bacon was crispy, sweet, salty and tasted heavenly.
After a few strolls up and down the beach, I ended the day with some prosecco and watching the sunset from the High Lounge at Hotel Erwin. The High Lounge is Venice Beach’s only rooftop bar and lounge. The view was amazing and the sunset was so gorgeous. The bar was really cool and the DJ was on point.
I didn’t drive in LA because I was a bit of a scaredy cat to drive on the opposite side of the road. I mainly used public transport to get around and it was actually alright -only if you avoid eye contact with the crazys and check you seat isn’t wet before you sit down.
Anyway, as you can tell I loved Venice Beach and I would definitely go back.
